How to Get Started

Becoming a City CASA Advocate

Step 1. Find out about being a City CASA advocate – explore our website and attend an advocate information session.

Step 2. Complete and return the application and permission to conduct background checks. Go to Application Materials

Step 3. Schedule and complete a pre-training interview.

Step 4. Complete pre-service advocacy training including courtroom observations. Go to Training Schedule

Step 5. Be sworn in by Judge Jimmie Edwards.

Step 6. Accept a case assignment.

 

Step 1:  Advocate Information Sessions

These one-hour sessions will provide all the information needed to help decide if becoming a CASA advocate is right for you. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions about the program and will also learn other ways to help Voices serve abused and neglected children in the City of St. Louis.
